Yes. Listing sites show you what is for sale. Homing Star works out whether buying makes sense for you yet, what a given home costs once taxes, insurance and upkeep are counted, and what has to happen before and after you get the keys.
No. Most people start in Plan, often a year or more out, and some start in Maintain because they already own. The Overview phase exists for anyone still deciding whether to think about it at all.
Yes. Invite one other person to any plan at no cost. You both see the same numbers, tasks and saved homes, and either of you can update them.
Your financial details are used to produce your plan and nothing else. Homing Star does not sell your information and does not hand your contact details to lenders or agents unless you ask it to.
